Longhi on the mend with Red Sox

Former Venice Indians baseball player Nick Longhi is at the Boston Red Sox complex rehabbing from a season-ending thumb injury. He started strong for Class A Short Season affiliate Lowell before injuring the ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb while sliding into a base. He hit .330 in 30 games, with 10 runs batted in.

The Venice High School graduate started strong for Class A Short Season affiliate Lowell before injuring the ulnar collateral ligament in his right thumb while sliding into a base. He hit .330 in 30 games, with 10 runs batted in.
