Strong defense set to lead Indians

When the Southeast Seminoles come to Powell Davis Stadium to face the Venice Indians in Friday night’s Kickoff Classic, they’ll be facing one of the area’s top defenses that is returning largely intact from last year’s 8-3 squad.

The interior of the defensive line is one of the strengths of this year’s team. It’s anchored by senior defensive tackle Alex Hoag, who has committed to Kent State; and junior Jarrod Hewitt, who Peacock called “the real deal.”
