Former Venice High School standout teammates Dri Archer and Trey Burton were on the same field last week for the first time in a professional setting when Archer’s Pittsburgh Steelers took on Burton’s Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia.
Burton’s Eagles held off a late Pittsburgh rally and won the game 31-21. Burton, who signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent last May after a four-year career at Florida, contributed to his team’s win with two catches for 37 yards. Burton’s catches were the first two of his career.
