The Venice Lady Indians needed a late rally to win the second game of their season opening match at Lakewood Ranch High School to preserve a 3-0 win against one of the area’s other top teams.
After taking the first game 25-18, the second set of the match proved to be a true back-and-forth affair between the two teams. Venice led the game by as many as three points before the Lady Mustangs came back and tied the game.
