Why are the kingfish here in late summer when the Gulf water temperature is pushing 90 degrees? Why are fishermen in Lemon Bay reporting great catches of trout — to be specific, 20 fish on two dozen shrimp, with several over slot? Why are sheepshead showing up around pilings in Pine Island Sound?
The answer to all these questions is very simple: Because fish have tails, and they use them whenever they feel like it. They can show up almost anywhere at almost any time, as long as the waters are connected.
