Fishing a senko

It’s nothing more than a soft plastic stick with no real definition to it. Thinner on one end than it is on the other, with a rounded cross-section, this stupidly simple bait is more versatile than just about any other soft plastic you can fish with.

The allure that a senko has to bass is something that I have never quite understood. The bait looks like a modified toy missile, but gets at least as many strikes as any other soft plastic bait going today. You can fish this bait in a variety of ways, depending on the cover your fishing. It can be used as a topwater bait, or dragged through deep cover on a Carolina rig.
