Do we tend to make fishing too complicated? Too often, yes. Can we simplify? Sure we can — it’s easy.
I own a boat. Many of WaterLine’s readers do also, but there are a lot of you who don’t. It’s nice to be able to go looking for fish, but owning and keeping up a boat takes time and money. What about being shorebound and waiting for fish to come? I’ve been there, too. When I was, I looked at the boats going by and wished I had one. Now I sometimes see guys on the pier and long for the simplicity of that style of fishing.
