Most of my regular readers know that I am originally from Wisconsin. Raised in the shadows of Lambeau Field, I had the pleasure of living through many frigid winters. Blecch! Last week is about as cold in Florida as I hope it ever gets, and I sure hope it doesn’t repeat itself too often.
Those of you who have lived up north, you know about shoveling your way out of your house from the inside, allowing the water to drip at night from all of your faucets to keep the pipes from freezing, plugging your car into a heater to avoid frozen lines in your engine — all sorts of tricks to keep you from basically losing your sanity in relentless cold weather. I’d just as soon forget them.
