As humans, we frequently try doing things our way. But I’ve learned I do better when I try adjusting to and working with Mother Nature. Don’t fight the tide — swim with the current.
Prime example: Many of us have favorite areas and methods that work beautifully in summer. But the colder it gets, the deeper we fish. Also, fish are cold-blooded animals, and they slow down dramatically now. Get down to the fish and slow down. Try later starts and enjoy warmer afternoons. If you stick with what worked in July, you might come up empty.
