And now, what you’ve all been waiting for … ladies and gentlemen, snook season is once again open. It’s an exciting time to be alive.
OK, so maybe it’s not going to change your life, but a lot of Southwest Florida anglers do look forward to snook season. I know I do — not necessarily because I’m planning to bring snook home, but because the season opening is one of the more reliable signs that winter weather is behind us. The live oak trees are leafing out, the turkeys are mating, and snook are going into coolers. Must be spring!
