florida is wild • capt. josh olive
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by wild places and the creatures found there. Plants, not so much. But over the past few months, I’ve been taking the three core modules of the Florida Master Naturalist program, and it’s really starting to fire up my interest in the green things out there as well.
Actually, it’s more than that. What it’s doing is getting me to reconsider Florida’s natural environment as a whole — everything from the land to our place in it. As I’m doing that, I’m finding that some things I’ve always taken for granted are really fascinating subjects.
