It’s getting good

Kira Coleman. This was her first catch of the day. A 34 inch snook , too big to keep but fun to catch . She is 14 years old

Our weather has warmed up, and we even got a few days with calm seas to enjoy. It’s clean clear waters, and fishing is improved. I’m hearing good snook reports and even a tarpon rumor or two. Trout are not great, but you can catch a mess of shorts. Spanish mackerel are scattered but there enough to catch a few. I’ve not been able to match my Gulf days with clients, but I’m hearing about kings and barracuda available if you can take advantage. Snapper and grouper are ready for us to enjoy.

In other words, spring has arrived, and it’s time to get out and enjoy some of our world-famous fishing. The crowds might even thin out some. Hallelujah!
