Due to the ever-changing weather and water quality issues we have had to put up with these last couple of months, catching a tarpon on the fly has been — let’s just call it “challenging.” In a sport where it feels like you need everything to go just right to be successful (or maybe have the “gods of luck” whispering in your ear), we have now had to deal with these red tide and dingy water that have changed things a little.
But the tarpon are still here. They are still eating flies. And we are still catching them. We have just had to adjust to our new situation, like the fish have had to adjust to theirs.
