Wall Eye fishing is wonderful here, but these Michigan boaters scare the day lights out of me. Hopefully we can learn from their mistakes and all be safer and better boaters. The latest fiasco occurred on Michigan’s Sylvan Lake where violating not only basic principals of boating safety but also the law, resulted in the death of two children and left another in critical condition. A Father was using his PWC to tow his three children ages 6 to 11 on a large inflatable tube. Another recreational boater ran at full throttle into the tube killing the 6 and 11 year old and leaving the 10 year old in critical condition. The parent was wildly spinning the delighted children around the lake, but without the rear observer, required by law.
