Some people think hunting is about killing animals. For most hunters, it’s really not. What it’s about is being self-sufficient, spending time in the woods, and honoring tradition.
People who don’t get that are usually people who don’t have those kinds of traditions. It’s like anything else: If you grew up hunting, you’ll probably enjoy it and want to pass that tradition on. Very few people just up and decide to give hunting a try — most of the time, you’re born into it or you’re not.
