The post-spawn period for catching bass can be one of the most exhilarating times for bass anglers. Bass are feeding voraciously after expending so much energy during the spawn that strikes can be pretty violent.

When the bass leave the beds, they take a little time to recoup their energy. Just like an athlete after an event, they rest, then they eat. Bass are pretty much the same, except that this phenomenon only happens once a year. Once they go into that feeding mode, they can be caught on a variety of baits. They real key is knowing where to look for bass in the changing springtime conditions.
