Fisherman fabricate fishing truths is another phrase for, fisherman lie. Oh, we don’t do it to hurt anyone, just to protect the one advantage we may have over another competitor on any given lake. How far some anglers take it is really a work of art.

Let’s be very clear about one thing. Fabricating a fishing story does not just come in the form of a “fish tale” about how big of a bass you caught on any given day, or how long the fight was. It can come in the form of the bait you used and where you caught it. But why do anglers go to such extremes when it comes to fishing? Most anglers hate to give up their spots, or what they used to catch them on.
