When you go to the water, you look to have a good time. You want to relax a little bit, catch some fish, enjoy some sunshine, and mainly, enjoy the company on the boat. This is how my wife Missy and I approach every tournament when we go out of town. But when things start wrong, they just seem to snowball.
For us, getting out of town to spend a night close to the boat ramp is always fun. If there are no restaurants close by, we simply throw in the small grill and take some charcoal and cook for ourselves when we get down to the hotel. That was the plan last weekend when we went to fish on Lake Kissimmee. The club, for some unexplainable reason, likes to launch out of the Hwy. 60 ramp. If you have seen it once, you know there is only one hotel close, JJ’s Corner on Hwy. 60, and no restaurants to be found. Perfect for taking the grill, sitting back and having a good evening.
