Lake Harris, as I mentioned in my column last week, can be one of those lakes that are tough to figure out during certain times of the year. But when you get a pattern going early in the morning, you’d like to be able to stay with that pattern all day. When that doesn’t happen, and your spots are minimal, things really don’t end up too good.
Such was the case this past weekend in our tournament on Lake Harris. We launched out of Buzzard Beach on Lake Eustus — one of the many lakes on this great chain — and decided to stay in Eustus to fish. I have a couple of areas on one particular shoreline, that at times, can be quite productive. At least that was the plan when we blasted off early Saturday morning.
