I recently went to my dermatologist for my annual total body scan. Between time on the water and on the golf course, I always end up with a few of those little spots that get zapped with that stinging freezy stuff. I was surprised to be greeted with “Oh, you are the writer for the Waterline!” I was surprised that my Lady dermatologist was a regular Waterline reader. As we chatted about educating boaters she proceeded to educate me with some interesting facts regarding sunscreens. As she queried me regarding my personal use, she gave me some interesting tips to protect myself and minimize those stinging zaps in the future. With all of the reflective rays off the water, every boater should be aware of these tips.
