I love to try new restaurants. There’s a teeny bit of a sense of adventure as you sit down, trying to gauge the place from your fellow diners and the atmosphere, not really knowing what you’re in for.
It’s fun. But unfortunately, sometimes it’s also disappointing. You know that old saying about not judging books by their covers? Well, it’s true. I’ve been in some eateries that looked impressive but served truly lousy food. And I’ve also been to some little out-of-the-way restaurants that feed you like family. The side of the family you actually get along with.
